Join Our Team as a 1:1 Support Assistant – Birmingham & Solihull

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in a child’s life? We’re on the lookout for a caring and proactive 1:1 Support Assistant to join a dedicated SEND provision in the West Midlands. If you’re driven by helping young people succeed and grow, this could be your next meaningful role.

The Role at a Glance

In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with one pupil, providing personalised, consistent support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting learning in line with the pupil’s EHCP and individual targets.

  • Encouraging independence, communication, and self-confidence.

  • Assisting with emotional regulation and helping manage behaviour positively.

  • Offering help with personal care needs where necessary – always with respect and dignity.

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other staff to deliver a cohesive support approach.

  • Creating a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience in a similar setting – either as a Support Assistant, LSA, SEN TA, or within a care-based role.

  • A calm, empathetic nature and the confidence to support pupils with diverse and sometimes complex needs.

  • Strong teamwork skills, good communication, and the ability to take initiative.

  • A solid grasp of safeguarding responsibilities and maintaining professional boundaries.

Why Join Us?

As a valued member of the team, you’ll benefit from:

  • Ongoing training and development to help you grow in your role.

  • A positive, collaborative working environment where your contribution matters.

  • The chance to make a real, lasting difference in the life of a child who needs it most.

Every day is different. Every day matters.
If you’re ready to be part of something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
