Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham? We’re working with a specialist provision that supports children and young people with Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and a variety of additional learning needs.
This is a rewarding teaching role for a qualified professional who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with complex needs.
About the Role
- Deliver tailored and differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals
- Support pupils in line with their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) outcomes
- Use creative teaching strategies to increase engagement and learning outcomes
Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND teaching qualification
- Experience working with students with ASC, SEMH, or other complex needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs
- Confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
