First for Education are recruiting caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in our partner secondary schools in Northfield and the surrounding areas of Birmingham.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people, whether in a school, youth work, or tutoring environment. It is also a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a future career in teaching who would like to gain hands-on classroom experience.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils across KS3 and KS4, both 1:1 and in small groups
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Help pupils with additional needs access learning effectively
Encourage positive behaviour and support classroom management
Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Experience working with children or young people (essential)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, resilience, and the ability to motivate students
A proactive and flexible attitude
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
