First for Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Dudley to appoint a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Manager. This is a key pastoral role for someone who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of young people and has the confidence to manage behaviour consistently and constructively.
Lead on the management of pupil behaviour across the school
Implement and monitor the school’s behaviour policies and systems
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SLT to identify and support at-risk students
Manage internal exclusions, detentions, and restorative conversations
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and act as a key point of contact for behaviour-related issues
Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour strategy meetings
Experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or senior support role within a school or education setting
A calm, firm, and empathetic approach to managing behaviour
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to lead, motivate and support students in a positive way
A current DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
