History Teacher

First for Education is working closely with a respected secondary school in the Birmingham area, and we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their Humanities department.

This is a full-time position (5 days per week), offering the opportunity to teach motivated learners across KS3 and KS4.

You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to be considered for this position.


The Role

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 in line with the school’s curriculum and policies

  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support pupil development

  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages participation

  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental meetings


What We’re Looking For

You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

  • The ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge pupils

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A reliable, enthusiastic, and committed approach to supporting student achievement
