English Teacher

First for Education are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Kinver area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can bring English language and literature to life, engage learners of all abilities, and make a positive impact within a thriving school community.

The ideal candidate will deliver creative, well-structured lessons while fostering a love of reading, writing, and communication in their students.

You must hold a QTS to be considered for this position 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with school and department policies

  • Create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment

  • Support students to achieve their full potential

  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school life

  • Uphold strong behaviour management in line with school expectations

 

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong curriculum knowledge in English

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A proactive, positive attitude and commitment to raising standards

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
