First for Education are recruiting a dedicated and ambitious Maths Teacher to join a well-resourced and supportive secondary school in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham from January 2026.
This is a long-term role ideal for a teacher with strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. The school values high expectations, consistency and excellent behaviour management, making this an excellent opportunity to thrive within a collaborative department.
Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare and assess pupil work to support strong progress
Create a structured and engaging learning environment
Manage behaviour confidently in line with school policies
Track pupil development and maintain accurate records
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Strong subject knowledge and recent UK teaching experience
Confident behaviour management skills
A proactive, professional and reliable teaching approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
