First for Education are recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across our partner secondary schools in Aston and the wider Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals to gain valuable classroom experience and make a real difference in local schools.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
Supervise pupils across a range of subjects and year groups
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
Encourage students to stay engaged and focused on their learning
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and classroom conduct
Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work, or coaching desirable)
Confidence in managing classrooms and supporting learning
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
