DT Teacher 

Are you a passionate Design and Technology Teacher looking for a short-term role? First for Education is currently recruiting for a  full-time DT teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Wolverhampton. The role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with an emphasis on practical learning and creativity.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a QTS/QTLS or PGCE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Foster student creativity and practical problem-solving skills in areas like product design, electronics, and materials technology

  • Maintain a well-organized and inspiring classroom environment

  • Collaborate with the department and wider school staff to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning

 

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4 level

  • Be enthusiastic about delivering hands-on, engaging lessons in various areas of DT

  • Possess strong classroom management skills

  • Ideally, be confident in delivering lessons across a range of DT disciplines, including product design, CAD, and electronics
