Teaching Assistant

First For Education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant in a SEMH School. The school offers a comprehensive package of both academic and pastoral support to meet the complex needs of young people who have ‘Social, Emotional and Mental Health’ needs. This school is situated in Wolverhampton, Full time, 8:30-3:30 5 days a week.

What they are looking for:

• Relevant teaching assistant qualification (CACHE or Equivalent)
• Provide support on a 1-1 and small group basis
• Good knowledge and understanding of SEMH behaviours and how to deal with them
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Experience in SEMH
• Enhanced DBS required.
• 2x references

All our staff, including classroom supply teachers who register with us, must hold a valid, enhanced disclosure. We can cross-check a current one through the DBS update service or you must apply for a new one. We can help with that.

All new staff are interviewed by an FFE consultant.
